Popsicles scream SUMMER!
But when I look down the long, bright freezer aisle hoping to find a fun treat for my kids, I can’t get past the dyes, chemicals, and the crappy choice between high fructose corn syrup and “sugar free” with fake sweeteners.
You just can’t be an American kid without a sticky popsicle dripping down your arm all summer long, so I make my own popsicles for my family and friends! I don’t make fancy pants popsicle recipes with chia seeds and coconut water; nope: I make homemade popsicles that are as sweet and yummy as “real” popsicles — but without sugar or dyes.

All of my popsicle recipes are kid approved
And since my kids have had more than their fair share of store bought Popsicles, they know a real treat when they taste it! (They also cry foul when I try to palm off something healthy as a treat — so you won’t find any kale-infused popsicle recipes here!)
Bonus: I tell my kids they can have as many popsicles as they want! Can you imagine doing that with store bought popsicles? 4 of the popsicles in this recipe [scroll down for the printable recipe card] have the same amount of natural sugar as 1 of the boxed organic juice pops at my grocery store.
Save money all summer long with homemade popsicles!
What would you do if you were grocery shopping and noticed a box of 10 organic popsicles with no sugar, fake sugar, or sugar substitutes — and only 3 grams of natural sugar — on sale for $1.35 a box? That’s 14 cents each, my friend.
You’d clear the shelves to stock up for summer, right?
Organic juice pops — the same size as the ones you’d make with this popsicle mold, but with 12g sugar, and additives like citric acid and xantham gum — are on sale at my grocery store for $3.50 for a box of 4. That’s $0.88 each!
For the same price I can make 26 organic popsicles at home!
This homemade popsicle recipe is dead easy: just buy a bottle of organic juice, thin it with water, and freeze.
